Creating a Legacy

I had the pleasure of meeting LePatrick, He is an amazing Hip Hop Artist that is committed to using his voice to glorify God.  I wanted to feature him on my blog because I believe in what he is doing.  He also has been kind of enough to allow me to use one of his songs in my Celebrity/Band Gallery.  We had a lot of fun during his photo shoot (above)  Below is a short Bio. When you get a chance go to my site and listen to his song.

HiGium??  Pronounced (High-G-Um) which is an acronym for His Grace is Upon Me.  His name is a life long testament to this 28 year old artist from Tyler, Texas, who hopes to use his gifting to glorify God in the form of hip hop music.  HiGium has been a believer in Christ all his life attending Church as a youngster on into his adult hood.  But he didn’t start out doing Christian music.  Inspired by the lyrical and prolific rappers of yesterday like, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang, Biggie and Tupac, HiGium often attempted to immolate these artists in his early days of recording.  And even on the production end of things, he would create beats to give a sound as impactful as a Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and Teddy Riley.  But HiGium knew this wasn’t going to be fruitful at all.  The lyrics were all lies and fabrications, and the music wasn’t real.  HiGium admitted to trying to be like  ”Them” because at the time it seemed like the thing to do, but fortunately God showed him that there is a need for his gift in the body of believers.  He began listening to Cross Movement, a Christian group out of Philly, and fell in love with the content, being Christ, all over again.  The professionalism as well as the subjects they spoke on convinced HiGium to go back to the drawing boards and do it all for Christ.  Today, he is working on setting up his own recording studio and releasing his first solo Gospel Album.  He’s done an album in a Group called Church with college friend Jermaine Wilson under the Phatboy Productions record label based out of fort Worth.  Here he got a lot of do’s and don’ts a Christian artist should take into account.  HiGium battles with wanting to be successful in the secular rap world but he realizes it’s all vanity.  He prays God will continue to strengthen him to resist the majority and fight the good fight not just for himself but everyone searching for truth.

CHRIST ALL DAY!!!

peace

11-AMANDA’S SMILE

10-GOOD THINGS

                                                                                                                                           ANGIE COCKRELL VOCALIST AND COMPOSER

ANGIE COCKRELLAMANDA’S SMILE

GOOD THINGS

Angie Cockrell has been an amazing friend.  I met Angie in Tulsa Oklahoma about 22 years ago through a mutual friend.  She is Married to Dennis and they have three wonderful children.  Dennis and Angie had started a Body shop in their garage, which became a very successful business.  It seems that whatever they put their hands to, it turns to gold.  Alot of their success has to with putting God first in their lives.  Their  first daughter Christine is a miracle, she was premature and the doctor’s didn’t think she would make it, and if she did that she wouldn’t walk, talk or be able to function normally.  I remember the Faith at that time was amazing.  They never excepted the bad reports, they kept  believing, and today Christine is 21 years old has her own car and  has a job and does everything that the doctors said she wouldn’t.  Every time anything came up in their lives they always  stood firm in their Faith.

A few years ago Dennis was driving home and was hit by a drunk driver.  Again it wasn’t looking good.  But now Angie had to stand alone in her Faith.  She stayed by his side.  She didn’t accepted the bad reports, but would talk about the report of the Lord.  Today Dennis is doing great and has no problems at all.  Again came through with flying colors.

Angie has always loved to sing.  She has been working on an album for a while now.  She sings at alot of venues, as well as at her church in Tulsa.  I am one of Angie’s biggest fans.  she has an amazing voice and a big heart.  She has written so many songs.  I  wanted to showcase a couple of them.  ”Amanda’s Smile” was written about a beautiful young lady that Angie had met in the hospital while Dennis was in a Coma.  She wrote this song and gave it to the family.  I also  have that song on my childrens gallery on my site.  The other Song is called “Good Things”  which she wrote after her job was conducting layoffs.  Alot of people were not happy about layoffs and there was alot of complaining.   Angie felt that Good Things would come out of this.  Of Course by now this shouldn’t surprise you since they have stayed positve through every situation in their live.

Angie is going to go far with her music.  You might want to remember her name, you will hear it again.  CLICK ON THE ABOVE LINKS TO HEAR ANGIE’S SONGS OR GO TO MY WEBSITE.

Love you Angie, I can’t wait to see what you do next.

Chad Caster

Chad Caster

I am excited to announce Chad Casters Christmas Album “December”.  We have been friends with Chad and his family for several years.  They are a wonderful family and have been a blessing to our lives.  While out to lunch with Chad’s mom Linda, she mentioned to me that they just found out that Chad could sing.  Wow, he is 19 years old and nobody knew.  I told Linda about a project that I wanted to do.  I wanted to promote an up and coming artist and at the same time promote my photography business.  All they would have to do is make a Christmas CD and I would take their pictures for the album.  I would then give the CD out as a thank you to my clients that came for pictures this holiday season.  This would be a wonderful gift for my clients and I would also be promoting Chad.  Chad accepted and ran with it.  The whole process was so much fun. I have chosen two songs to feature on my blog.   Click on the above Links above Chad’s picture. Listen and enjoy.

Martin High School

Martin High School

I had the pleasure of taking Regan Nielsen’s senior portrait this last month.  I have known him and his family for several years.  They have been wonderful friends to my husband and I.  I remember when Regan and my son Austin would run around at their brothers baseball games.  So many memories.

It’s so hard to believe that Regan is now graduating from high school.  He has become such a remarkable young man.  He always puts God first in his life.   Of course, those who know him already know that.  He is the Student Body President at Martin High School a long with many other accomplishments.  Everyone that meets Regan absolutely loves him.  He plans on attending Texas A&M this fall.  He will be atttending there with his older Brother Ryan who I also had the pleasure of taking his senior portraits.  Again another example of wonderful parents.

I am praying for the best for you Regan, enjoy the rest of your senior year and can’t wait to see what is in store for your future.  You have great parents that think the world of you and have poured everything they have into your life.  MAKE THEM PROUD!
